This
series has been a blast so far. The pieces are done in colored
pencil on archival paper or illustration board. I decided to do
this series in colored pencil for several reasons.
First,
colored pencil works are much faster to complete than those done
in oil. Second, I find that I'm more likely to include the little
details when I work in colored pencil. And I really wanted to
add those elements to my work. And Finally, I find my work has
a much lighter more fanciful quality in colored pencil than when
I work in oils, although I can't possibly tell you why that is.
